I Run with Survivors

Description

In honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, the Center for Prevention of Abuse (CFPA) is hosting the 2nd Annual I Run With Survivors 5K Run/1 Mile Walk on Saturday, April 13th. All participants will receive a t-shirt and teal shoelaces (the color of sexual assault awareness) and are encouraged to wear both at the event. Race day activities include speakers, photo opportunities at the “We Run Because…” banner, music from Mix 106.9, and refreshments following the race. 

CFPA wants all survivors – ones who have come forward to disclose and ones who keep their abuse private – to know that the community supports them, the Center for Prevention of Abuse supports them, and that they are believed. Services for sexual assault survivors are free and confidential at CFPA and the crisis hotline is available 24 hours a day at 1-800-559-SAFE (7233).
