2012 Annual Dinner
Guest Speaker: Michael Heisley
Michael E. Heisley is Founder of The Heico Companies, LLC, based in Chicago, Illinois. Mr. Heisley also serves as Chief Executive Officer of several of the company’s subsidiaries.
Heico was founded in 1979. Heico’s investment group specializes in buying interests in under-performing companies and turning them around. Heico owns and operates over 35 businesses worldwide within a diverse set of industries, including steel wire products, heavy equipment, telecommunications, plastics, aerospace, commercial construction services, and material handling equipment. Mr. Heisley also is a majority owner of the NBA Memphis Grizzlies.
The 42+ businesses owned by Heico and its subsidiaries have revenues of over $2 billion and employ approximately 11,000 people in varying capacities in the United States and internationally.
