SUMMARY:State of Illinois Certification: 3rd of 3-Part Series No Change Affidavit Application (renewal) – Session 3
DESCRIPTION:The Illinois Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) at Bradley University is offering these educational opportunities\, in collaboration with the Central Management Services\, to enhance participation in the State of Illinois Business Enterprise Program and Veteran Business Program. The Illinois PTAC is supporting the Central Management Services to increase the number of certified vendor pools in the Business Enterprise Program. \n\n \n\nThe Business Enterprise Program (BEP) for Minority\, Women-Owned\, and Persons with disabilities (M/W/PBE) and the Veteran Business Program (VBP) expands minority\, women\, persons with disabilities\, veterans and service-disabled veteran entrepreneurs' opportunities to access government contracts and grow their businesses. When eligible companies are certified with the State of Illinois\, they become more visible to prospective buyers\, including other agencies and private contractors seeking to purchase goods and services.\n\n \n\nThese No-Fee sessions will take you through three phases of status in the certification program and you are invited to participate in any or all of the events.\n\nAlready Certified? You should know\, each year you must renew your application by submitting a No Change Affidavit (NCA).\n\nThis review confirms the company continues to meet the BEP Act requirements to be certified. This session will take you through the No Change Affidavit Application required to maintain your certification. \n\n \n\nHow to expand NIGP (National Institute of Government Purchasing) codes.\n\n \n\nOur Speaker:\n\n \n\nCarlos Gutierrez is the Certification Manager for the Business Enterprise Program. As the Certification Manager\, he reviews all files to ensure it meets the BEP Act 30 ILCS 575 requirement. He served as the Acting Manager for the BEP Compliance unit and was the former BEP Outreach Manager. He has been working for the State of Illinois for more than 15 years in different state agencies.
